About Us

Casa Encanto is a small, Latina woman-owned online shop — a dream brought to life.

The idea of Casa Encanto began when I purchased a blanket from one of my visits to Mexico over 10 years ago. After a decade of family picnics, beach days, and outings, that blanket is still in incredible condition. I found myself reaching for it again and again, not only for its durability but for its vibrant colors that always seemed to spark compliments and conversation.

Curious about how something so beautiful and long-lasting was made, I began researching the craft behind it. That journey led me to the incredible artisans of Mexico.

I eventually traveled to Oaxaca to meet with artisans in person and witness their work firsthand. Seeing the process, traditions, and passion behind each piece left a lasting impression on me. Many of these products are made using natural materials like 100% cotton and plant-based dyes, with techniques that have been passed down through generations.

Through this experience, I knew I wanted to share these traditions and craftsmanship with others. That is how Casa Encanto was born.

Along the way, I also connected with artisans creating beautiful woven tote bags made from recycled plastic. Using traditional weaving methods, they transform repurposed materials into sturdy, waterproof, and sustainable bags designed for everyday life.

In a fast-paced world where everything is available at the press of a button, Casa Encanto is rooted in the idea of slowing down and appreciating the artistry behind handmade goods. Every piece in our shop is thoughtfully curated and handwoven by artisans who are deeply connected to their craft—whether they are working with cotton, natural dyes, or recycled materials.

Every purchase helps support the communities of Mexican artisans by empowering them to preserve their traditional art and cultural heritage.

Bienvenidos a Casa Encanto. Thank you for being part of this journey.
